David Hernandez was born in Los Angeles in the Community of Lincoln Heights. After graduating High School, he enlisted in the United States Navy where he served from 1967-1971. David is a Vietnam Veteran. For twenty-five years David worked as an independent insurance adjuster, during ten of which he operated his own Independent Insurance Adjusting Company. He is the Founder and Chairman of the Los Angeles Hispanic Republican Club, an organization based in a strong belief of Family, Faith and Opportunity.

David has been involved in the political arena for 20 years as a candidate and consultant. He was a candidate for Lt. Governor of California in 2018, receiving 400,000 votes. He is now committed to assisting individuals running for office in their communities. He is the Host of the Los Angeles Hispanic Republican Club Talk Show on AM870 The Answer, heard every Saturday evening, and is the newly elected California Republican Party Regional Vice Chairman, representing Los Angeles County.
