The goal is to take back control of the governance of California from the “Political Class” in Sacramento, and to return it to where it belongs, THE CITIZENS OF CALIFORNIA. Through Ballot Initiatives, we can enact laws that Sacramento has REFUSED to deal with because of Special Interests, Apathy, One-Party Rule, and even Corruption. Issues such as reducing Crime and Homelessness, improving Education for ALL kids, lowering Taxes, fixing our Infrastructure, lowering Housing costs, and increasing Wages and Entrepreneurship opportunities, are all within our reach through Ballot Initiatives.

We will make it MUCH easier and cheaper to qualify Initiatives for the Ballot. Even with a great idea, supported by a clear majority, it currently costs as much as 10 MILLION dollars just to bring that great idea to the ballot! We will reduce that cost to a few thousand dollars, allowing our citizens to VOTE on and approve these issues. Californians vote more Conservatively on issues than they do on Candidates, so we know we have significant majorities on our side if we can put these issues directly to the Voters.

An Initiative qualifies for the Ballot if a sufficient number of verified signatures are collected. The signatures must be registered voters in California. The number of signatures needed depends on whether the Initiative is to become a Law (Statute) or a California Constitutional Amendment. Currently, a new Law requires approximately 600,000 verified signatures, and a Constitutional Amendment requires around 900,000. This usually means collecting about 50% more than these numbers, or 900,000, and 1.4 million signatures, respectively.

Simply submit this signup form with your contact information: Name, Address, Email, and Phone Number. Your information will be held in STRICT CONFIDENCE and will not be shared with ANYONE. Then, when you get a communication (most likely a Text message or an Email) from the Ballot IQ Group informing you of a new Initiative, go to our website at BallotIQ.org, download the Petition, print it out and sign it, perhaps get one or two or more people to sign, and mail it in. We promise that we will NOT saturate you with requests, but will limit ourselves to perhaps 4 or 5 Initiatives per two-year cycle. If you agree with that issue, fine. If not, also fine, it is completely up to you, but we will recommend Initiatives that we believe the vast majority of Californians, regardless of their politics, will support.

• If you really like a particular Initiative, you can collect MANY signatures from family, friends, coworkers, fellow church members, neighbors, or anybody else. As we said above, these issues will be popular with most people, regardless of their politics.
• You can let people and organizations know about BallotIQ. Encourage them to visit this website and to sign up to be a part of our team. Or you can go to “Contact” at the bottom of any page and let us know of organizations who might be interested in becoming involved.
• You can also make a donation to our organization, the Ballot IQ Group. Since one of the main goals of this project is to reduce costs, we operate on a “shoestring” budget (NONE of our people are paid – ALL are volunteers) so ANY donation is deeply appreciated and valuable. $5, $10, $20 donations are GREAT, but of course, if you want to give more, that’s even better! Just getting these Initiatives on the Ballot will be a victory. The large numbers of signatures will force Sacramento to sit up and take notice. Maybe they will properly address the issue, maybe not. But we will get their attention, and the Special Interests who oppose these ideas will be forced to spend TENS or HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS of their dollars fighting us. And in spite of that, WE WILL WIN, and win often, because we are only going to endorse Initiatives which we believe will be popular and effective in accomplishing these goals. We trust the CITIZENS much more than we trust Sacramento.
